The weather is warming up again and 2022 is coming to a close. We find ourselves visiting our favorite places again. The sun is warm and salt in the air fills me with a feeling of comfort.

Mixed up memories.
I’ve started to develop my backlog of photos. I’ve been neglecting my photos, meaning over the next few weeks as I develop the rolls some photos will be from any point in the past couple of year.

Hello Hello.
I went into the city one night this month to catch up with an old friend, which is interesting, as the weather was exactly the same as the last time we met. Pouring Melbourne rain.
I’ve been pretty quiet the past few months, to be truthful I’ve been moderately uninspired. This lull usually kicks in this time of year I’ve come to realise. Which I feel is clear in these images. They’re nothing profound, and truthfully I don’t particularly like them. Upon reflection I was taking photos for the sake of taking photos, because “that’s what I do.”, in saying this I’m uploading them as a small reminder to stop shooting for the sake of shooting. I remember thinking “I just want to finish this roll”, which is a behaviour I haven’t seen in myself in a long time.
I think I need to take a stroll alone through the city, with no expectations of meeting anyone. A moment of needed meditation, deep breath, and drink in my surroundings.

February. 2019.
I’ve visited this place a few times over the years, it’s ended up being one of my favourite spots in Victoria. The photo from the lookout, I’ve taken one just like this years ago, it’s interesting to see how part of the “London Bridge” collapsed. I find myself drawn to this place, I think because it reminds me so much of home.

Hospital. 2017.
I often find myself visiting the spiritual centers of hospitals. I think they’re fascinating and utterly depressing.
